Paid Leave
Paid leave is the authorized time off from work and for which an employee continues to receive their regular salary or wages. An employee can be granted this type of leave including personal time, illness, vacation, family responsibilities, and other situations.
Types of Paid Leave
- Casual Leave: used for short-term personal reasons or emergencies.
- Sick Leave: for health-related reasons or medical conditions.
- Vacation Leave: for planned time away from work for leisure or personal activities.
- Maternity/Paternity Leave: for the birth or adoption of a child.
- Privileged Leave: include additional leave types or special allowances.
Employees are entitled to a specific number of paid leave days per year, and the allocation may vary by company and country. They are generally required to request paid leave in advance
